Woodturning jewelry is not new. Many of us have seen earrings, necklaces, and things like that. But have you considered a wood-turned ring?
When I first thought of rings, I thought that they would be fragile. But I’m assured that they are not if you understand how to orient the wood and use good planning. One of the ways that I’ve seen to strengthen rings is to laminate the wood. Another is to use metal inserts or inlays. And I’ve also seen wood inlays as a strengthening vehicle.
Knowing that other people have made rings should give you some confidence to try it yourself!
